Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 3 came into being for Classes I to V in a temporary building on 19.12.1985. Later on in the year 2003, the school was shifted to a permanent building spanning across 10 acres of land. New building of Vidyalaya is situated inside New Amritsar Cantonment. It is a 2 section school.

The Vidyalaya has all facilities for the promotion of academic & track and field activities. At present about 1000 students are getting education in this Vidyalaya. Vidyalaya offers calm and quiet environment for quality education from Primary to 10+2 Stage. It has well equipped Science Labs and a rich Library. It has its own splendid building and vast play fields for promotion of games and sports. It offers facilities in Computer aided learning. It has a well qualified and committed teaching faculty.

PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 3 Amritsar is located in New Cantt area near Khasa. It was established in year 1985 and now houses in a spacious building amidst lush green surroundings spread over an area of 10 acres. It has capacity to accommodate 2 sections in each class from 1st to 10th and has got all the three streams i.e. Humanities, Commerce and Science at +2 levels. Two fully functional Computer labs with adequate number of computers, trained Computer PGT and Instructor help in keeping pace with new trends in Information Technology. Computer Science has been introduced as an elective subject at the senior-secondary level from the session 1999-2000. Spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, well equipped Science and Geography Laboratories and a Junior Science Laboratory help to develop a scientific attitude among the students.
